Linda Garrett:  

I graduated from Savanna in 1965 and started my first real job at Disneyland. I loved working there and meeting people from all over the world. It was a fun place to work for a single girl. I made a lot of friends and was very fortunate to meet my wonderful husband there in 1967. Ken worked in New Orleans Square at the Silver Shop. We were married six months later and have now been married 44 years. He joined the Air Force after we were married, spent 7 years as an enlisted troop, was accepted into the Bootstrap commission program in the AF and finished his last year of college. He became an officer in the AF after graduating from the University of Arkansas and retired in 1990 after 23 years. While Ken was in the Air Force, we traveled all over the country and spent three years living in Europe courtesy of the Military. We spent as much time as possible visiting England, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Belgium. We have a daughter and a son who were born when we were stationed in Wyoming. They traveled with us when we went on excursions to other countries during school summer vacation. It was such a great experience for all four of us.
